Tofu Poke

INGREDIENTS

1 pound extra firm tofu

2 inches fresh ginger

3 green onions (scallions)

1 Tablespoon sesame seeds

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1 Tablespoon sesame oil

2 Tablespoons soy sauce (reduced sodium)

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Chop the tofu into 1/2 inch cubes and place in mixing bowl. Add the minced ginger, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and Hawaiian sea salt to the mixing bowl. Toss lightly

  2. Mix together the sesame oil and soy sauce in a small dish. Then pour over the tofu and toss til evenly mixed

  3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes (to let the flavors combine) and serve chilled

  4. Optional: Add fresh ogo

  5. Adapted for Onolicious Hawaii
